This toy is fun and adorable but it is super loud. I can’t find any volume buttons either. I taped Styrofoam to the speaker and it helped. Be careful with little ones hair. My daughter picked it up to look at the bottom and her hair got caught it the spinner. Had to cut it.

This train is was easy to assemble and the battery has a long life. My grandson loves pushing the buttons to make it go forwards and backwards. The train sounds are louder than weβd like and once the sound button is pushed it wonβt toggle off. The train has to be stopped then started again to stop the sound. Other than that, itβs an awesome train.

The media could not be loaded. Β Mostly positive. But I’ll give the negatives first. One the battery compartment screws seemed a little off thread so it took a lot to get the battery compartments open without stripping the screws. However, I think if people are careful they wouldn’t even need the screws however batteries can be dangerous to children so I understand why they have the screws. Second, you have to take out the rechargable battery to charge every time. Would be nice to ba able to charge it from the actual train. And last just a tiny thing is the horn sounds are a little sketchy but still fun for little ones. I do like how the sound is on the remote so it can be kept off and only makes those noises when it’s wanted. The last little thing is it can sound a bit “loud” on the tracks when there are not other background noises such as TV or people talking but put on a little music and all is well.This is a fun little train and I am impressed by the steam functionality as I didn’t think it would work well enough and the train is a lot sturdier than I thought it would be.

My wife and I wanted a train for the Christmas tree. We had it narrowed down to 3 different sets, and picked this one. I’m so glad we did! The sounds are amazing, and the steam coming out of the stack is too cool! Only problem we have, the cat wants to grab it lol. You won’t be disappointed if you buy this set.
