This is NOT a trackmaster set… It IS an ADVENTURE train set… That being said, it is still an AWESOME addition to any childs train set collection… My son is jus shy of 3yrs old and he LOVES these…. They are perfect for his little hands…. These are not minis and not the size of trackmaster trains but i guess u could say somewhere in the middle…. The couplings on this set is a semi hard plastic that is replaceable and they do sell replacements which is perfect for when my munchkin is old enough to unattach and attach with ease… So you will have 1 of 2 likely scenerios…..1) child will constantly come to you for help to put together and take apart or 2) child will forcefully pull apart lolol. Which mine has and achieved goal but in process bent the piece so it doesnt hold a secure attachment to another train or car…not all jus some but jus something to keep in mind and know they can be replaced…. These are dicast and fun… Im attaching pictures of SOME of the set as a reference to size comparison and hope it helps…the mouse is a standard size computer mouse… these are compatible with the wooden track sets that are sold which i have bought instead of the Adventure tracks because of ease of use for a toddler and sturdiness… The adventure tracks are plastic and i cant see spending that much on a trackset for this age range as well as there are wayyyy more track building options with the wooden ones.. i mean c’mon.. 50 plus piece sets?! YAAAASSSS!! In conclusion… This is a great set of Thomas the engine trains…. Measurements of the trains are.. Thomas, Percy, Nia etc.. 2½ inches long and 1½ inches tall… Rebecca, Gordon etc… About 3¼ inches long and 1½ tall as well…. The little cars are 1 inch long and 1½ inches tall as well. *Computer mouse NOT included*.. LOLZ*Update* 2/2/21…..still LOVES! These trains are played with on a daily as well as bathed with…paint is holding up and they still look almost brand new.. besides the couplings lol….still an awesome set abd highly recommend!

We bought this for our grandson who is now three and LOVES trains…especially Thomas …he knew all the names of the cars and was SO excited with this gift. The cars are all metal and hook together and move easily on the floor. The colors are vibrant and we were very pleased with the quality.

I loved the size of this set for the price. My 3 yr old was super happy with the variety of trains included and she plays with them almost daily. But the clips are frustrating to her vs the ease of magnet connectors on our other train cars. She somehow ripped the whole clip out of Rebecca on the first day and several other clips have opened up enough that the train and its tender no longer stay connected very well. The set was advertised as metal, which I felt would be robust, but the engines are at best half metal while the tender cars are all plastic. We’ve had this set since Christmas and nothing has broken yet, but my daughter knows now to be gentle with the trains and the clips especially.These fit on our wooden train tracks, which is a big perk of this set, but overall I wish the construction was better and all of the trains and tenders were metal as I was led to believe.

My grandson loved them ! The best thing about the trains is the name of each train is printed on the bottom !? This set makes a great gift if you have a Thomas the train fan !
