With the new Thomas series “All Engines Go” comes a new fix-it crew, and one of the crew is Carly. Carly was introduced recently as a stationary Dockyard Crane, so seeing her jump to a 6-wheeled motorized train unit is a bit bizarre. However, you do get what you pay for here with her. She’s got the looks, lots of lovely molded-in detail, and the crane arm, which can swing around and extend out. The arm can carry loads and even pick up her coworker, Sandy! It can pop off and sit on the red flat car included with the pack, to help with bridge clearance on certain layouts.I think she’s a unique unit to have in a railway roster, but definitely worth picking up if you want to complete the main All Engines Go show cast

A solid take on the new All Engines Go series’ James! Chunky in a few places but he’s got the look down, with the yellow dome and the big smile, lining on boiler and tender, and a jovial smile that matches his more mellowed-out persona in this new show. (note: the buffers do come unpainted in red plastic, I’ve touched mine up with black sharpie- very easy to do!) He’s slightly longer than Thomas and the others as well, which fits with him being one of the ‘big engines’! His motor is the same essentially as the ones that came before, but with new sturdy wheels that roll along pretty smoothly.I’d highly recommend getting the splendid red engine for your little engineer’s fleet, he is after all the best red engine on Sodor!

She looks as good as the All Engines Go show model looks, but I have one big qualm- the product renders show her with a red front and black buffers, but the toy’s are brown and bare! She looks and runs well otherwise, and at least the buffers are an easy fix. I would recommend for any young engineer looking to expand their fleet

Personally, I do not care for the new faces. The classic faces were more personable, these faces look like every other animation, hardly distinguishable, like Thomas used to be. As if the creators are afraid to design something that will standout from other animations. Definitely lacks uniqueness and creativity.

My toddler adores All Engines Go, and I prefer it greatly to the previous versions of Thomas the Tank Engine. We had to add this piece to his collection and it’s wonderful!

My daughter has a TrackMaster set and REALLY wanted a Hiro for it but the official “TrackMaster” Hiro is crazy expensive. I saw this one and looked it up and it said it would work on a TrackMaster track so I decided to give it a try for this great price and I am SO GLAD that I did! He works perfectly with the track! I’m done paying an arm and a leg for the official TrackMaster trains! These motorized ones work just as well and are about half the price!
